Spotlight on SOTL women’s contribution, leadership and influence across the global cigar industry and beyond
Cigar Culture Summit Africa 2026 and SOTL Global Movement (SGM) announce a partnership for the international Summit taking place from 23 to 25 October 2026 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Through the partnership, SOTL Global Movement will bring the theme “Discover Women’s Leadership in Cigar Culture” to the Summit, highlighting women across the cigar ecosystem who are building businesses, leading organizations, preserving craftsmanship and culture, and creating communities.
“Women have always been part of cigar culture — from farms and rolling rooms to factories, businesses and leadership. Today, the opportunity is to turn that contribution into visible leadership, economic opportunity and influence. Through this partnership, we want to connect women across countries and across industries, from cigars to hospitality, tourism, luxury, entrepreneurship and beyond, and create new collaborations that extend far beyond the cigar world,” said Dr. Anastasia Psomiadi, Founder of SOTL Global Movement.
“We are delighted to have SOTL Global Movement as a strong partner whose extensive expertise in cigar culture is matched by a clear commitment to advancing women’s visibility and leadership. Women play a vital role at both the Cigar Culture Summit and also InterTabac, and we welcome the opportunity to further strengthen their voices and highlight their contribution to the industry through this new cooperation,” said Sabine Loos, Managing Director of Messe Dortmund owner Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe.
The partnership brings women’s leadership into a broader international and cross-sector conversation, creating new connections between cigar culture, business, hospitality, tourism and entrepreneurship.
