Ciro Cascella has been appointed as the new President of the Association of Dominican Cigar Manufacturers (ProCigar) for the 2026-2028 term. The CEO of Tabacalera Fuente committed to providing continuity to the association’s ongoing efforts, consolidating the milestones achieved by the organization, and further elevating the Dominican premium cigar as a global symbol of excellence and tradition.
During the recent Annual General Assembly, where he was officially sworn in, Ciro Cascella expressed his gratitude to the association’s members for their confidence. He also highlighted the distinguished tenure of outgoing president Litto Gómez (La Flor Dominicana), noting his vital contributions to the strengthening of ProCigar and the organization’s positioning within the international tobacco industry.
The newly formed Board of Directors includes Vice Presidents Litto Gómez and Guillermo León (La Aurora); Hamlet Espinal (Davidoff Cigars) as Secretary; and Yuri Guillén (General Cigar) as Treasurer.
Furthermore, the Board retains Hendrik Kelner as Representative of the Founding Members, alongside Directors Ricardo Nieto (Tabacalera de García), Raquel Quesada (Quesada Cigars), Ernesto Pérez-Carrillo (Casa Carrillo), Nirka Reyes (De Los Reyes Cigars), José Blanco (Tabacalera Palma), Thomas Strickrock (Arnold André), and Abraham Flores (PDR Cigars).
