In their return to the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show, the Barreda family consolidates a four-generation tradition that today controls every aspect of production, from seed to distribution, making Barreda Cigars a true showcase of Nicaraguan tobacco excellence.
In addition to opening a distribution center in Houston, Texas, this 2026 the brand introduced its new image alongside two new lines for the United States market: the Vega Suprema Oro, the first Box-Pressed cigar in their portfolio, and the Lotes Reservados No.10, rolled using estate-grown tobacco in the filler and presented in three vitolas: Petit Cañón (4.5 inches, 56 ring gauge), Robusto (5 inches, 54 ring gauge), and Toro (6 inches, 52 ring gauge).
Currently, generational succession is a defining phenomenon within the premium tobacco industry. At Barreda Cigars, this transition comes alive through Jennifer and Óscar Jr., who are following in the footsteps of Don Óscar Barreda and Don Chico, opening international markets and strengthening their presence in retail shops across California, Texas, Illinois, and Washington, among other states in the American union.
