A Deep Personal Connection to Service For Lak Vohra, the mission to support the armed forces is deeply rooted in his own family’s extensive military legacy. Vohra’s family boasts multi-generational contributions to the armed forces, with both past and present generations serving as distinguished officers in the Indian Army and Air Force.
This profound history of sacrifice includes his father’s brother-in-law, who fought in World War II and was held as a Prisoner of War (POW) in Hitler’s Germany. In an extraordinary display of resilience, he painted landscapes of the concentration camps directly from his prison cell. Furthermore, one of Lak’s uncles, Col. Darshan Singh Vohra, was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri for his dedicated efforts to rehabilitate those who lost limbs in active duty in Chandigarh, India.
