Entre Humos LLC, a Puerto Rican company specializing in premium cigars, hospitality, private experiences, mixology, coffee, and tobacco distribution, opened its flagship lounge three weeks ago –in a soft opening– at San Patricio Town Center, Guaynabo. With this new location, the brand solidifies its position as one of the most important concepts in the Caribbean within the premium tobacco industry.
Entre Humos San Patricio is a lounge with the energy, service, and aesthetic of a five-star Caribbean resort, located in the center of the city. More than a cigar shop or a smoking space, it presents itself as a complete experience of hospitality, curation, and community, for the aficionado looking for something more elevated, comfortable, and memorable.
This new space, in the former location of Burrito Social, extends over 5,000 square feet, which include a large-format lounge, full bar, terrace, private areas, event spaces, and corporate and operational offices for the company. A large-scale humidor offers one of the most complete and carefully curated selections of premium cigars in Puerto Rico.
“Entre Humos is not a simple cigar shop. From day one, we built a community around hospitality, conversation, cigar culture, and service,” stated Cándido Alfonso, founder and president of Entre Humos LLC. “We have shown the main tobacco and liquor brands that the aficionados, who are everything to us, have dictated what they are looking for. That is why we are making this proposal, which brings the best of Caribbean luxury to the middle of the city.”
Among the distinctive areas of the flagship lounge, a spacious terrace stands out, named El Septimo Terrace –in honor of the Swiss ultra-premium cigar brand El Septimo Genève–, designed to be enjoyed in an open, elegant, and social atmosphere. As part of the Entre Humos experience, the El Septimo wine and spirits house integrates into the lounge’s selection of spirits and wines, with the purpose of creating memorable experiences.
The new Entre Humos integrates premium cigars, signature mixology, spirits, Puerto Rican coffee, private events, brand activations, and educational experiences designed for clients who value comfort, good taste, personalized attention, and operational excellence.
Its gastronomic and bar proposal, an essential part of the experience, includes a menu of signature and original cocktails under international standards. This part of the project is led by Amadis Rosa, a partner at Entre Humos and past Caribbean ambassador for some of the leading global brands of bourbon, cognac, and champagne.
Conceived as a natural extension of the premium cigar experience, each cocktail has a recommended pairing that reinforces the idea of creating integrated experiences and not just serving products separately. This philosophy extends to its selection of exclusively Puerto Rican coffee, sourced from boutique producers.
Governed by the concepts of Caribbean luxury, local curation, and elevated hospitality in the heart of the city, “we want every detail to have intention –Alfonso added–. If someone orders a cocktail, we suggest the cigar that best accompanies it, or if someone enjoys a coffee, we want them to know they are drinking Puerto Rican coffee from boutique producers. Our vision is not to sell isolated products, but to build experiences.”
In addition to serving as the main lounge, the new location functions as the corporate and operational center of the company, supporting the growth of Cigars Island by Entre Humos, a division focused on the distribution of premium cigars for supermarkets, convenience stores, lounges, hotels, and special accounts in Puerto Rico.
A cash & carry type space was created for cigar lounges, specialized stores, and businesses looking to strengthen their premium cigar offerings. Here, wholesale clients receive personalized guidance and assistance to select the cigars for their businesses, considering their customer profile, budget, turnover, and commercial strategy.
“We bring to the wholesale relationship the same hospitality and attention that we offer to the individual client. More than just a supplier, we seek to help other businesses make better inventory decisions, build better humidors, and offer the Puerto Rican consumer a more robust and professional cigar experience,” expressed Alfonso.
The opening in San Patricio Town Center arrives after another important milestone for the company: Club Macanudo Puerto Rico, owned by Entre Humos and located at the Yacht Club of Palmas del Mar, recently celebrated its first and successful year of operations. That achievement confirms the company’s ability to develop, operate, and sustain premium hospitality concepts linked to the cigar world, in collaboration with highly prestigious brands and in demanding markets.
The selection of San Patricio Town Center responds to its high traffic, commercial mix, accessibility, and growth as a gastronomic, commercial, and social destination in Guaynabo. So this opening represents not only a new location, but a brand evolution and a strategic bet to expand the reach of premium cigar culture in Puerto Rico.
“Our country has a serious, sophisticated cigar culture with a lot of potential. We created a space where the experienced aficionado feels at home, and where the new client can learn without intimidation. So Entre Humos San Patricio is our vision of what a cigar lounge can be when it is designed from hospitality: a five-star Caribbean resort, in the middle of the city,” Alfonso added.
