The Association of Dominican Cigar Producers (Procigar) brought the seventeenth edition of the Procigar Festival to a magnificent close, solidifying its status as one of the most significant events in the global tobacco industry. Over the course of a week filled with exclusive experiences, tours of prestigious factories, and grand events, the festival showcased the passion behind Dominican cigars.
A Celebration of Dominican Cigars
The evenings of the festival embodied luxury, culture, and the art of cigar smoking. The White Dinner, held at the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration in Santiago de los Caballeros, paid tribute to the tradition and legacy of Dominican tobacco.
The night began with a projection on the history of the monument, featuring symbols and imagery celebrating the tobacco industry and Dominican heritage. The event’s setup was innovative, as the monument’s facilities were expanded and adapted to create a more immersive experience for the audience, while highlighting the breathtaking view of Santiago.

Art also took center stage, with a presentation by renowned Dominican visual artist Yubo Fernández and her exhibition Time is Money.
As part of the evening’s exclusive elements, guests received the iconic White Dinner box: a visually striking piece that captures the essence of the event. This box was the result of a competition organized by Procigar among students and professional graphic designers.

To close the festival, the highly anticipated Gala Dinner offered a night of elegance, featuring a spectacular musical opening. The evening also embraced generosity, with the traditional auction of exclusive humidors—unique, handcrafted pieces created by the prestigious cigar houses that make up Procigar.
This year, the auction raised $451,600, with proceeds benefiting high-impact social institutions such as the Voluntariado Jesús con los Niños and Hospicio San Vicente de Paúl, among other charitable organizations. This reaffirmed the industry’s commitment to the well-being of the community.

Litto Gómez, President of Procigar, expressed gratitude to the international visitors from over 40 countries for their unwavering support and highlighted the hard work of the festival’s organizing team.
Additionally, as part of the Association’s social commitment, the creation of the Procigar Volunteer Program was announced. This initiative, led by Michelle Franco de León, Gissel Torres de Guillén, Marisol de Blanco, Massiel Trigo de Espinal, and Catherine Llibre, aims to strengthen the association’s social impact through donations and other community-driven actions.

The cigar houses that comprise Procigar include: Tabacalera Fuente, Tabadom Holding, Quesada Cigars, De los Reyes Cigars, La Flor Dominicana, Tabacalera de García, General Cigar Dominicana, La Aurora, Casa Carrillo, PDR Cigars, Tabacalera Palma, and Arnold André. This year, Mel Caribbean and Kelner Cigars also joined as passive members.

The Procigar Festival 2025 reaffirmed the prestige of Dominican tobacco while intertwining it with social commitment and the art of savoring exquisite cigars. It demonstrated once again that when it comes to premium cigars, the Dominican Republic sets the global standard.
