During a press conference this Wednesday afternoon at the UTESA Dominican Convention and Culture Center, it was announced that the event’s new location—previously known as the Dominican Cigar Fest—will be Santiago de los Caballeros’ Central Park, running from April 25 to 27.
Elba Rosa Rodríguez, Secretary of the Dominican Cigar and Tobacco Association (Adocitab, in its Spanish acronym), stated: “The Dominican Cigar Expo is a world-class exhibition that honors the economic, cultural, and social importance of Dominican tobacco, which has been declared by law as a National Cultural Heritage.”
It is worth noting that this event was created in response to the need to showcase the quality and prestige of Dominican tobacco worldwide. As the country’s leading agro-industrial product, it serves as a true national brand with a presence across all five continents.
The Expo targets authorities, shop owners, producers, accessory manufacturers, industry entrepreneurs, growers, and tobacco enthusiasts, both nationally and internationally. This year, attendees will enjoy a multisensory experience featuring tastings, expert talks, pairings, culinary offerings, and artistic presentations.
The Dominican Cigar Expo gains further prominence this year with the attendance of international guests and organizations, reinforcing the global prestige of the Dominican tobacco industry.
Activities will begin on Friday, April 25, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, while Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27, will run from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Over these three days, participants will have multiple opportunities to connect with key figures in this vibrant industry.

The Dominican Cigar Expo is an initiative by Adocitab, a nonprofit organization that unites, consolidates, and promotes small and medium-sized businesses within the Dominican Republic’s tobacco production chain.
