With a welcome dinner at Parque Central in Santiago de los Caballeros, the Association of Cigar Producers of the Dominican Republic (Procigar) officially inaugurated the seventeenth edition of the Procigar Festival.
The event brings together the leading producers of premium cigars from the Dominican Republic and around the world, alongside international enthusiasts and connoisseurs. Pre-festival activities included an exclusive tour starting in La Romana, where participants from over 40 countries visited renowned cigar factories, gaining firsthand insight into the art and craftsmanship of cigar production.
During the welcome dinner, aficionados reunite annually with cigar producers, strengthening their bonds, and have the opportunity to exchange ideas with legendary master blenders and the founders of the tobacco houses that make up Procigar.
Guests enjoyed a dinner designed to highlight the authentic flavors of the Dominican Republic, paired with a selection of premium spirits and beverages—a perfect complement to an exceptional pairing experience. The evening was accompanied by music that evoked the essence and soul of the Caribbean.
Each participant received a box featuring a special selection of cigars from the Procigar member houses: Tabacalera Fuente, Tabadom Holding, Quesada Cigars, De los Reyes Cigars, La Flor Dominicana, Tabacalera de García, General Cigar Dominicana, La Aurora, Casa Carrillo, PDR Cigars, Tabacalera Palma, and Arnold André.
This luxurious celebration reaffirms the Procigar Festival as a global showcase, highlighting the excellence of the Dominican cigar industry.
