According to a press release, Ricadro Carioni and Gerardo Pérez have temporarily assumed oversight of Grupo Turrent’s operations in the United States and at the international level, replacing Alejandro Turrent, who stepped down as Director of International Sales on June 4.
Regarding the new representatives, the company stated that “together, they bring extensive strategic and operational experience and will serve as the primary points of contact for partners and stakeholders.” Carioni previously joined Turrent’s operations as Business Development Director in November 2024.
Under the name Nueva Matacapan Tabacos, S.A. de C.V., the company, headquartered in San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz, is Mexico’s leader in cigar sales and exports to the United States, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
In its statement, Grupo Turrent acknowledged Alejandro’s role in achieving its global expansion and presence, built on commercial alliances and the consolidation of Mexican tobacco craftsmanship from a company with over 120 years of history.
“As we begin this new chapter,” the release concludes, “Grupo Turrent reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the principles that have guided it for more than five generations: heritage, innovation, and an absolute dedication to customer satisfaction.
