Although Fortaleza y Libre Cigars did not introduce any new releases during the 2026 PCA Trade Show, brand founder Greg Free announced that their portfolio will expand mid-year with a new line. “The blend was finalized in January and will hit the market in about four months under the name Law Dog. It will be the strongest cigar in our lineup, even surpassing El Intimidador.”
During the interview, he recalled the industry’s recent victory over the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) following the dismissal of the agency’s final appeal against the legal ruling that distinguishes premium leaf tobacco from other mass-market tobacco products.
“This industry is exciting and filled with daily battles, but at least right now we no longer have to follow the FDA’s regulations, and that is great for both enjoyment and business,” he stated while sharing a cigar labeled #GMFF –an acronym whose meaning alternates between Greg Mother Fucking Free and Good Morning Fortaleza Fans. This particular smoke is exclusively available at trade shows, presented in a single vitola using tobaccos separate from the brand’s regular production lines.
